GPT Image 2.6 GIF limits
A GPT Image 2.6 GIF is text-only, 2 to 16 frames, default 9. Aspect ratios are not accepted. Credits are one per frame.
A GPT Image 2.6 GIF does not take reference images, a mask, or markup. The prompt is text. frame_count runs from 2 to 16 and defaults to 9. frame_duration_ms defaults to 200, must be at least 20, and moves in steps of 10.
size is auto or exact pixels in multiples of 16, such as 512x512. auto means 512×512. Names like 16:9 are not valid for GIF. The combined sheet has to stay within the provider’s pixel limits, so a large frame plus many frames can be rejected.
The provider charges the whole sheet. This site charges 1 credit per frame, so the default 9-frame GIF is 9 credits. A failed job, including “not yet live”, is refunded once.
